Apple introduces M5 iPad Pro with breakthrough AI capabilities

    November 4, 2025

CUPERTINO, California, October 22, 2025: Apple Inc. introduced its newest iPad Pro models powered by the M5 chip, marking what the company calls the most advanced iPad experience to date. Available in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, the devices deliver major performance and efficiency gains, bringing professional-grade computing capabilities to a thin and portable design. The M5 chip, Apple’s latest silicon built for speed and AI-driven workloads, features a next-generation GPU with a Neural Accelerator in every core. According to Apple’s performance data, the new iPad Pro achieves up to 3.5 times the AI performance of its predecessor and up to 5.6 times the processing power of the iPad Pro equipped with the M1 chip.

The CPU is faster, the Neural Engine is enhanced, and unified memory bandwidth has been significantly increased, allowing the device to handle demanding creative and productivity tasks with improved responsiveness. The latest model also debuts the C1X modem and N1 wireless networking chip for the first time in an iPad. These new components improve data transfer speeds, wireless reliability, and efficiency, optimizing connectivity for professional workflows such as 3D rendering, high-resolution video editing, and real-time collaboration on large datasets. Apple has equipped the M5-powered iPad Pro with an Ultra Retina XDR display featuring tandem OLED technology.

Global rollout begins with full retail and online availability

This next-generation screen delivers deeper contrast, higher brightness, and precise color accuracy, making it suitable for creative professionals working in photography, design, and content creation. The display is paired with iPadOS 26, which introduces upgraded multitasking capabilities and AI-assisted tools designed to improve productivity and creative output. The company continues to enhance its ecosystem of accessories with the updated Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil Pro. The new Magic Keyboard offers refined key travel, an enlarged trackpad, and a floating design that complements the tablet’s portability.

The Apple Pencil Pro adds new motion sensors and haptic feedback for greater precision and control in illustration, note-taking, and 3D modeling applications. Both accessories are designed to take full advantage of the iPad Pro’s M5 performance gains. Apple said the new iPad Pro is aimed at users who demand desktop-class power in a mobile form factor, including filmmakers, designers, educators, and developers. Despite its performance increase, the device maintains an ultra-thin profile and extended battery life, reflecting Apple’s ongoing focus on balancing performance with efficiency across its hardware lineup.

iPad Pro with M5 available globally through Apple channels

Customers can now purchase the new iPad Pro with M5 at Apple Store locations, through the Apple Store app, and online at Apple. Buyers can choose between the 11-inch and 13-inch models and configure storage and memory options according to their needs. Apple offers trade-in programs for eligible devices, customization options, and AppleCare protection plans. The iPad Pro can also be paired with other Apple devices and services for seamless integration across the company’s ecosystem.

Testing for the new models was conducted by Apple in September 2025, showing measurable improvements in speed, graphics, and AI-driven performance compared with earlier generations. The company noted that battery life varies by use and configuration. Further details, including pricing, technical specifications, and accessories, are available on Apple’s official website. The M5-powered iPad Pro, along with iPadOS 26 and its accompanying accessories, underscores Apple’s continued investment in advanced silicon and hardware design. The product is now available globally through Apple retail stores, authorized resellers, and online platforms. – By Content Syndication Services.
