iPhone 17 Pro Max now available in deep blue and orange

    September 9, 2025

Apple Inc. has officially introduced the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, its most advanced smartphones to date, showcasing a new aluminum unibody design, an upgraded A19 Pro chip, and significant improvements in camera systems, battery performance, and thermal efficiency. Pre-orders begin September 12, with global availability starting September 19. The iPhone 17 Pro lineup is powered by the new A19 Pro chip, featuring a six-core CPU and GPU, along with a 16-core Neural Engine.

According to Apple, this chip enables up to 40 percent better sustained performance over the previous generation, supporting demanding tasks such as mobile gaming, AI applications, and 4K video editing. Enhanced thermal management is achieved through a redesigned vapor chamber integrated into a laser-welded aluminum chassis, helping maintain peak performance while dissipating heat efficiently. Available in 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screen sizes, both models feature Super Retina XDR displays with ProMotion up to 120Hz, Always-On functionality, and 3000 nits of peak brightness.

A new generation of Ceramic Shield glass covers both the front and back of the device, offering improved scratch resistance and up to four times better crack protection compared to previous models. The camera system has been significantly upgraded with three 48MP rear Fusion cameras and a new 18MP front-facing Center Stage camera. The telephoto lens now supports up to 8x optical zoom at 200mm, the longest on any iPhone, while the new front sensor delivers higher resolution selfies and supports Dual Capture video recording. Apple also introduced support for advanced video tools such as ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2, and genlock synchronization, aimed at professional filmmakers and content creators.

Connectivity is enhanced with the introduction of the Apple-designed N1 wireless chip, supporting Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread networking. eSIM-only models will launch in over a dozen markets, including the United States, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Japan, allowing for an additional two hours of video playback by eliminating the physical SIM tray. The new models ship with iOS 26, which brings system-wide enhancements including Apple Intelligence features such as Live Translation, visual recognition tools, and improved privacy controls.

The operating system also expands AI capabilities for developers and enhances performance for gaming and productivity applications through tighter hardware-software integration. The iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1,099 with 256GB of storage, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max begins at $1,199 and includes a new 2TB storage option. Both models are offered in cosmic orange, deep blue, and silver finishes. Apple is also launching a new range of accessories, including TechWoven cases, clear and silicone MagSafe cases, and a Crossbody Strap crafted from recycled materials.

Expanded international availability begins September 19

In line with its environmental goals under Apple 2030, both devices include 30 percent recycled content and are manufactured using 40 percent renewable electricity. The devices use 100 percent recycled cobalt in batteries and recycled gold in printed circuit boards, with packaging made entirely from fiber-based materials. Apple continues to promote durability and extended software support as part of its sustainability strategy. – By Content Syndication Services.
